MEET ATTORNEY AUREA BURGOS-MORAGON
Aurea L. Burgos-Moragón is a Senior Family Law Attorney at HAWM Law, PLLC. A native of Puerto Rico, she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and graduated magna cum laude at the Universidad del Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. Ms. Burgos-Moragón worked for several private companies before attending Barry University School of Law. As a law student, Ms. Burgos-Moragón interned at Barry’s Environmental Law Clinic, and externed with the 18th Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender. After her bar passage, Ms. Burgos-Moragón worked with a private firm with a focus on immigration law. It was through her work with immigrants that Ms. Burgos-Moragón’s passion for helping the less fortunate was realized. She later joined the legal aid firm of Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida as a Family Law Staff Attorney. While working with legal aid, she had the opportunity to provide legal services for domestic violence survivors and to help them pave the way to the start of a new life, free of abuse.
As a family law attorney, Ms. Burgos-Moragon has handled multiple cases, both simple and complex, ranging from divorce, paternity, injunctions for protection, and modifications, among others. Ms. Burgos-Moragon’s motto is to treat others as you would like others to treat you. This mantra has been proven to be exemplified at HAWM Law and this mission is what solidified Ms. Burgos-Moragon’s decision to join the firm.
Ms. Burgos-Moragon lives in Saint Cloud, Florida, where she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Gabriela and Isabella, and her cat, Onyx.
